Innovation with TNO
The development of the APMON is the result of a collaboration between the Netherlands Institute for Applied Scientific Research TNO and Technology of Sense.
TNO responsible managers dr.ir. Anton Duisterwinkel and dr. Oana E. van der Togt.
The APMON uses an optical measurement technique which was developed a couple of years ago by TNO. Since they are a research center, they didn’t mean to transform the technique in a working product and put it on the market themselves. That is when they approached multiple companies in the Netherlands to compete for the possibility to take over from that point. Finally, Technology of Sense got the honor to further develop the measurement technique and expanded the idea into this brilliant device.
